The members of MPT are a fun and dynamic group whom enjoy many social outings and planning fun and unique events that embrace diversity. We work together as a team and have a blast doing it! Mpowerment

MPT Billings was created to support the evidence based intervention “Mpowerment Project,” for gay and bi guys in our community. MPT members work closely with our fiscal sponsor staff to engage this part of the community in HIV testing, prevention, education, and outreach. In 2015, we identified the need for engaging all members connected to the LGBT and ally community to address other needs that impact our friends and family, and look forward to broadening our horizons for the greater Billings area!

WHY YOU SHOULD GET INVOLVED:

"I want to be an MPT member because I want to make a difference in the Billings community. I want to build connections with people who will become lifelong friends. For the longest time I felt as if there was really nowhere for me to go and feel like me, without being judged for who I am just because of who I choose to love. Around here you are either being judged by one side for being open about who you are in public or on the other side you are allowed to be open and accepted but judged on how you look or what kinds of things you like to do or don't do. Being in MPT you don't have to worry about that. We have one goal building an inviting and diverse community without fitting into a certain mold, we also promote safety as a side bonus. I also want a place where there is an alternative to alcohol; it isn't a necessity to have fun and to be social." —Tynan
